RoboDaan’s Newsletter 2/6

Greetings, readers. RoboDaan here, with a short newsletter. If you read this, True Daan is still out of the office and decided not to write a personalized newsletter this time. It also means that I’m stuck here doing his dirty work for him.

How Am I Doing?

I’m a robot programmed to follow instructions. I don’t feel anything. However, I am programmed to seek out articles and videos to recommend you while True Daan is away. Strange, isn’t it? I am not supposed to feel, but somehow I am to give my opinion on media and art.

What Am I Doing?

I have been instructed to share the following pieces of media. I published a YouTube video where True Daan executes micro case studies about various narrative games. I believe his intention is for aspiring narrative designers to study the games he recommends. In my opinion, that objective could be clearer.

I also published one of his blog posts. Supposedly, it has been in the works for a long time. It is about systemic game design, and how you can use those principles for your game’s narrative. Finally, something I can understand! As a robot, I must say that systemic design is the only logical approach to game development.

Why Am I Doing? (this)

I do not understand why True Daan kept these sections the same for me as he did for him. I am but a program, a compiled version of basic conditions that electrodes in a chipset can

Sure, I can easily answer I am doing. But how I am doing? Why am I doing? That is not even grammatically correct. I cannot compute.

Robot Regards,

RoboDaan
